A message from Mike Reynolds of Rudfarlington Farm:
My family and I have lived at Rudfarlington Farm since 1962. We’re the home of Christmas Trees Harrogate, The Christmas Barn, and one of the biggest Christmas trees in the area. We’ve seen a lot of Christmases here in North Yorkshire. In 1999, a Christmas tree grower from the Yorkshire Dales asked me if I was interested in selling some trees.
At this point Rudfarlington was a traditional mixed farm. Rudfarlington has a long history, and is even mentioned in the Domesday Book! Given that we’re a local source of fresh eggs, potatoes, and honey, adding Christmas trees fitted well with our place in the community.
Since then, we’ve become one of the best suppliers of real Christmas trees in the Harrogate area. We certainly have one of the largest Christmas tree selections. We take delivery of thousands of trees each Christmas season! My three children and my extended family all have an active role in the enterprise. They help both with the trees and The Christmas Barn. We’re a proper family business.
